We’re Waging War on Stubborn Stains!

16 November 2020

Olive oil, coffee, pomegranate, juice, tea… If you’re stuck wearing your favorite t-shirt only at home due to stains like these or hiding that beautifully colored sofa under covers because of a nail polish mark, don’t worry – we totally understand!

Aside from long-set or chemically treated stains, there’s usually a way to get rid of every stain. Dry cleaning is the first method to try, especially for delicate fabrics. However, for a stain to be removed at the dry cleaners, it must not have been treated with any other method or come into contact with water. For example, adding salt to an olive oil stain decreases the chance of it being removed later.

For those who don’t opt for dry cleaning, some daily practical tips can work wonders, especially with common household items. These solutions are worth a try!

A Solution for Pomegranate Stains

One of our favorite winter fruits, the pomegranate, is also a symbol of abundance. We love eating the seeds and drinking its juice, but not the vivid red stains it leaves behind! The remedy? Lemon! In emergencies, pour a little lemon cologne on the pomegranate stain and dab it with a white cloth. You’ll see the stain fade quickly – just be sure to use a white cloth to avoid transferring color.

Soak in the Last Rays of Sunshine!

Ppicnics are a great way to enjoy the last sunny days of the year. But they can leave you with a grass stain! Don’t worry – white vinegar can come to the rescue. Mix 1-2 tablespoons of hot water with white vinegar and pour it on the stain. Let it sit for a bit, then wash in a regular cycle.

A Moment of Coffee Bliss

After a long day, there’s nothing quite like a cup of coffee or tea to help you relax. But if you spill some on yourself, grab a bottle of plain soda water and pour it over the stained area to soak. Wait a few minutes, then use a clean white cloth to dab at the stain until it lifts.

Ink Stains? We’ve Got You Covered!

Ink stains – they’re a nightmare for office workers, parents helping with homework, and anyone who loves crossword puzzles. But now you can skip throwing things away! Here’s how to get rid of an ink stain: don’t let any water touch the stain, especially hot water, as it only spreads it. First, use a paper towel to absorb the excess ink. Then, mix cold water with liquid detergent in a small bowl and use a clean cloth to gently dab the stain until it disappears. Hang it up to dry.

Give these tips a try, and you’ll be ready to conquer stubborn stains with ease!
